Beef Kofta

kofta

Ingredients:
Kofta
900g/2lb minced beef
2 onions, finely grated
4 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tsp dried chilli flakes
1 small bunch of flatleaf parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 egg yolk
oil for brushing
salt & beef stock

  • Put all kebab ingredients into a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • With clean, wet hands, roll mixture into balls (approx. size of a golf ball) and then shape into a sausage
  • Slide skewers through the centre, lengthways of each kebab
  • Brush the kofta generously with oil and lightly oil the bars of the barbecue or griddle. Cook for five minutes, turning occasionally, until browned all over and cooked through.




Raita
1/2 cup natural/greek yogurt
¼ cucumber, shredded
1 teaspoons fresh mint leaves, chopped
salt
  • For the minted yoghurt, mix the yoghurt with the mint, half a teaspoon of salt and some pepper and set aside

Salad
1 red onions, sliced
½ cucumber, diced
2 toamtoes, diced
lettuce, diced
fresh coriander, chopped
1 tbs lemon juice
salt&pepper
  • Put these in a bowl with a large pinch of salt and mix together well
Sos
4 tbs tomato kecthup
4 tbs cili sos

ni makanan Lebanese kan? macam pernah dengar nama dia kat Leb. restaurants... if not, Turkish.. hehe...

Hari ni gi beli minced beef utk buat Nacho, bilang butcher nak handful... dpt 500gm!! besar tangan dia... ada lebih mince, boleh buat ni... tapi nak tengok gambar dulu.
